Debbie Reynolds Touching Last Words

Debbie Reynolds has died just one day after the passing of her daughter, Carrie Fisher.  Debbie was a celebrated Hollywood actress well known for her roles in Three Little Words and Singing in the Rain.  More recently, she had a continuous role on Will and Grace as Bobbi Adler. Looking back on her works we found that she was an established voice actress  in some of our favorite childhood movies. However, most of us Geeks best know her as the real life mother to the legendary Princess Leia.

Debbie has several performances under her belt and here is a list of some go the ones that we loved:

  1. Charlotte’s Web – Charlotte A. Cavatica

  2. Kiki’s Delivery Service – Madame (the english dub)

  3. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer – Mrs. Clause, Mitzi (Rudolph’s Mother), Mrs. Prancer (the School Teacher)

  4. Rugrats in Paris: The Movie – Lulu Pickles

  5. The Penguins of Madagascar – Granny Squirrel

Unfortunately for us, the day after we received the shocking news of the death of our beloved Commander Leia Organa, we fid that her mother has also succumb to heart complications.  After suffering a heart attack and quite possible a broken heart Debbie left us, survived by her son Todd Fisher, and Granddaughter Billie Lourd.  It is an unnatural fate for a parent to outlive their child.  Emotionally stressed from the death of her daughter and struggling with her own health it seems that Debbie knew her time had come.  With a moment as heart wrenching as this:

Debbie Reynolds spoke her last words…

I want to be with Carrie.

We hope that they are at peace together, acting out amazing scenes, in a galaxy far far away.
