Hello Geeksiders.
It has been difficult finding the words to say to express our feelings regarding the recent exposure of the nasty plague that Racism and Systemic Injustice has bred in this country and the world.
The deaths of George Llyod and Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbrey and Tony McDade, and since the deaths of David McAtee and Sean Monterrosa during protests (among others) has made the need for systemic change and action abundantly clear.
As Black creators and founders of this community we must make it just as abundantly clear that we denounce the actions of the perpetrators, bystanders, policy makers and gatekeepers who have perpetuated the conditions that disenfranchise Black people and end Black lives.
As Good Creators, we also tried to make this space as inviting for all geeks as possible because we are fully aware of what it means to be ostracized, and judged. We also know how grateful we were to find a tribe, a community that celebrates our uniquely geeky selves. We will continue to make strides to support Black lives and create that space.
