Geeks Let’s Celebrate 37th Annual Macintosh Computer Day!

On this day in 1984, the first Macintosh computer was introduced to consumers.  This original model is now known as the Mac 128k was the first commercially sold mac computer with a graphical user interface and mouse.

The Macintosh computer is named after the Mcintosh Apple. However the correct name was in use by another company and so the Macintosh or Mac – was born.

The computer was introduced with a Superbowl commercial directed by Ridley Scott who also directed Geek classics such as Alien, Blade Runner, and The Martian. When introduced the computer came with only two programs, yes programs— MacWrite and MacPaint.
